 What is a consignment store?
A consignment store sells another person's (aka consignor) merchandise. When that product is sold, the consignment store takes a commission fee, while the consigner receives X amount from the merchandise. The purpose of a consignment store is to provide the consignor with the highest market value for the product, while the consignor doesn't need to worry about the hassle of selling the product. 

What Is the consignment fee?
Grails SF's consignment fee is 10% of the final sale price or $20, whichever is greater for NEW items; 15% of the final sale price or $20, whichever is greater for USED Items.

If I consign a shoe, how do I get paid?
We issue checks in your name when your item/items sell. When checks are prepared, Grails SF will call or e-mail you to come pick it up at the store. If you are unable to make it to the shop, you may have someone else pick up your check for you, as the check is written to the consignor name and only the consignor can cash it (Must notify us beforehand if someone else is picking up the check for you).
Out-of-state consignors’ checks are mailed out to your mailing address provided. 

Who sets the prices?
Prices are negotiated based on what the shoes sell for at market value.  We agree on a price with our consignors.  We price items to move quickly.

Are all your shoes/products authentic? 
All shoes & products sold by Grails SF are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. We do not sell fakes or B-grades of any kind.

What forms of payment do you take?
We accept most forms of payment: PayPal, credit/debit card, or cash.

Are all payments made online and/or in the store safe?
Yes, all payments made online and/or in the store are 100% secured whether through PayPal or credit/debit card.

Do you buy shoes? Do I have to come in person to receive a quote?
Yes, we buy shoes (Quick Cash/Buybacks). New shoes can be quoted by email or phone. Used shoes can only be quoted in person.

What are the conditions of your shoes/items?
All Shoes/Items are Brand New (Unworn & Unused) unless otherwise stated; products that are damaged or used will be noted in the description or the title.

What is considered Brand New/Dead Stock? 
Grails SF defines "Deadstock" as a new, unworn pair of sneakers/Item. Sneakers are complete with original box including the box lid and the box label indicating the shoe size. Deadstock sneakers also may or may not include additional accessories (such as laces) that were included in the original packaging at purchase, unless noted otherwise. As with sneakers sold at retail, some pairs will be unlaced, tried on for fitment, and/or slight manufacturer flaws and imperfections that are uncontrollable. In addition, all "Deadstock" sneakers should include the original box, which may have encountered minimal damage from shipping, discoloration from storage and/or any normal wear and tear due to aging.

Used Items:
All used items are inspected and judged by us to deem the condition. We will list any major flaws with the item in the description. We also have a grading system to determine the condition of the item, 10 being the best, and 1 being the worst. Please note all used items can have slight fading & stains from normal wear and tear. If you have any question about any used items please call or e-mail us during store hours or feel free to come by the store to check them out in person.

Do you do trades?
Yes, we offer trades on brand new or used shoes or items.

Which states have a tax fee? 
Online orders:
Only CA residents are required to pay sales tax.


In store:
All customers purchasing at our physical shop location are required to pay sales tax.

Why was my order canceled?
All products on grailssf.com are in stock and available for order. Occasionally, products are oversold. In this event, orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. Processed orders are subject to payment acceptance and availability. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for any reason, at our sole discretion.

What is your return or exchange policy?
grailssf.com does not offer exchanges or returns on any product. All sales are final.

Do you ship internationally? 
No, we currently only ship Domestic ( within the USA)

What kind of shipping do you use? 
The default shipping for all orders will be via USPS priority mail or DHL Express. There will be a tracking number, and all orders $100 or more will require signature confirmation. All international orders require a signature confirmation. 

Are you allowed to pick up an online orders in person? 
Anything ordered online must be shipped. We do not offer a local pick up option.

Please be aware of any sneakers we sell can include signs of aging when it comes to older pairs, including slight yellowing. Shoes should be worn at your own risk. Sneakers that are over 5 years old, when worn, may experience structural weakness and a lack of durability. Buy at your own risk!
